I just want to say I’m really pleased that TWW now includes a “Topics Freshness” view (in the drop-down menu, top left) – it’s something I’d been hoping we’d get for a long time. In other forums I spend much of my time in similar sections as they are easily the most effective means of getting an overview of what’s new (in regard to threads and replies) since my previous visit. I’m not sure how long we’ve had it now, as I discovered it last time I returned to TWW after one of my periodic “hobby overloads”, and maybe it’s been talked about already while I was away, but in case it hasn’t I think it’s worth highlighting the fact that it now exists when previously it didn’t.

It’s way more useful than the “Latest Posts” list on the main page, which (as I think most of us have experienced), becomes frustratingly inadequate whenever 10 or more threads have had new posts since the last time one checked. The other views that have been around for longer (most popular topics, topics with no replies and latest topics) didn’t really solve that as there may very well be newly updated threads that don’t belong to any of those three categories. Also, even when there have been fewer than 10 updated threads (or no updated threads at all), the Latest Posts list doesn’t really let you be sure of that until you’ve started actually clicking on the topics to investigate the latest replies. The Topics Freshness view solves all those problems.

Sorry if this is old news to everyone

Very useful and it shows I’ve missed some posts.
