A couple of weeks ago I managed to get the first game of the year in round my mate Des’ fantastic shed o’war. It was an attack on the German defence nest on Sword beach codenamed ‘COD’ by the British. Played out in fantastic 15mm-o-rama with Des’ lovely collection that may be coming to a wargame show near you sometime in the future (if they ever happen again!). Rules used are our CoC/IABSM hybrid.

Full story and pics can be found here: https://tracksandthreads.wordpress.com/2021/06/24/battering-cod-sword-beach-6th-june-1944-15mm-iabcym/

Great stuff, Iain, thanks for sharing! That table and minis is fantastic, and glad to hear the Allies swept away (or would have?) the German strongpoint.

That’s some nice stuff. Nice to see support vehicles in a game.

Thanks for all the lovely comments chaps, I’ll pass them on to Des when I see him later as it was all his kit.

Could you imagine seeing one of those canvas sided beasties in the water and wondering WTF it was, only to discover it was a tank swimming at you?!?!

"I saw this in a cartoon once, but I'm pretty sure I can do it..."
