I’ve always avoided wargaming AWI in the past. I don’t know why, as the SYW has always interested me. I suppose it was the way it was educated to me at school that put me off. Well anyway after watching some of the AWI games played using SP2 on the youtubes my interest was kindled. I bought some Perry and Foundry figures and now am desperately trying to get them all painted so I can get back to my other projects!

I do have enough completed units to run some solo games with SP2, which have been good fun, but also very interesting how the different forces fight. Now all I need to do is sit down and write up some sort of campaign!

I love doing AWI with Sharp Practice.  I’ve run primarily individual scenarios in the South, but also one centered on the Trenton campaign.  Great rules for the AWI.
