I recently finished some cargo and ammo boxes from TTCombat that are designed as barricades for Star Wars Legion (and other 28mm sci-fi). They work well as LOS blockers and protection. There’s a couple more pictures on my blog here:

Thanks Mike, I used a torn up sponge and Bolt Gun Metal paint, along with Chocolate Brown over the top. It’s a process I’m still getting to grips with, so stuff like this is an excuse to practice.

Good God man, I am frightened to death of the salt method! I’m nowhere near that level of competence!
This is the simplest way, but it does produce some good results. I have an AT-ST that I have put aside for a few weeks whilst I practise some of these weathering techniques on simpler stuff.
