I’ve posted a lengthy explanation of the PSC board-game Battle of Britain on my blog. There are also some downloadable Rommel unit cards that someone may find useful. Check it all out here:

Thanks for the review. My copy came in the mail today, I’m sure I’ll put your critique to good use.

I’m thinking about magnetizing the flight stands and using my collection of painted/decaled 1/300 BoB models to play this game. Do you see any reason that wouldn’t work? Then I’d paint the plastic models from this boardgame for other theaters, Western Desert I think.

Quick rules question (I know, I should ask the designer, but you’re here so I’ll ask you first); per the rules, it takes three bomb hits to destroy a factory. The game provides 1-bomb-hit and 2-bomb-hit markers, as well as factory-destroyed markers, to track progressive damage to factories. But. The rules also say that a factory with a bomb marker doesn’t contribute to British replacement production. Do you think they meant that any bomb marker stops factory production? Or do factories continue to produce until they’re completely destroyed?

You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

Thanks KB, I’m glad you liked it.

Zippy, I can’t see an issue with using other aircraft models that you have, the planes seem to be purely representative of flights, not what is what they are made up of. Arguably, you could just use cardboard counters, but models look better.

As for the rule question, I thought exactly the same thing. I wonder if the factories are supposed to get progressively worse as they get more damaged and only stop production when completely destroyed. That seems more realistic to me and if it works for you, use it as a house rule.
