    Interesting, the Jacobites actually did better than I would have thought.

    On the opening turn, it seemed like they should retreat rather than attack!

    Well, I think there is actually an exploit in the scenario rules.  The Government artillery can swivel but not move, so if the Jacobite player is aiming to do better, he really should withdraw out of range and force the Government army to advance (knowing that by a draw the Jacobite player does so much better than real life)…but it didn’t seem to capture the spirit of the battle, so got the Jacobites to go for it…
