I’ve just painted up the Ares Games version of ‘The Battle of Five Armies’.
Elves, Dwarves and Men against the Orcs and Wolves
Board at set-up
More info and some how-to’s on my blog.
Bilbo, Thorin, Dáin, Bard, Beorn, Gandalf, Lord of the Eagles, Thranduil, Bolg
I’ve only played once- it was pretty intense, and we both made mistakes, but I eked out a win as the Shadow player. It is not as tactical as my preferred mass-battle game of choice, Commands & Colors/ Battlelore, but oozes theme and story events.
My blog: Wargaming with Barks
“Thanks Barks” that is a beautifully painted selection of miniatures. really enhances the look of the board game. (Now I want one and I am going to hold my breath until I get it) gasp!!!!! the wife just ignored me and went to the drawer to look for the life insurance.
Nice work, very effective
what size are the models?
regards
