Over the years I have been replaying various historical battles with my own rules designed for a 2’x2′ board, Ancient Battlelines Clash.  The have been stable for about a year.  I recently  created some rules for some fast grid-based rules when playing out a campaign.  I combined these grid-based rules with my own rules to produce a new faster, more streamlined version of Ancients Battlelines Clash.  They are sufficiently different I have given them a new name – When Warriors Collide.   I have tried them out with one of the next battles on my list to play – Heraclea.  A battle report of how the battle went with the new rules can be found at this blog post:
