These photographs were taken by taken c. 1904 by Colonel V. Kemblovsk of the Russian Army. They give and outstanding example of what the battlefields may have looked like (before industrialization). Neat examples of terrain, buildings and crops.

Yes, very desolate. I went looking for these pictures as I though I could get suggestions for the table top. Guess I was wrong.
