Anyone aware of any UK sources for static grass mats of a regular colour*, such as a noch or javis summer scatter?
I need it to be at least 4 x 3 feet so as to have a seamless board.
I can find plenty of 4 x 2….* https://www.modelscenerysupplies.co.uk/brands/javis/hairy-mat-summer-green

Dis the dirt Mike, or should I say grass.

That’s annoying, to say the least.
Hope they sort it out quickly.

I bought a similar mat from Noche and it arrived with even more creases than the one shown. Their advice was to iron it from the backside, but you can’t iron out creases in the paper. They said they send the mats out “lose rolled” so as not to squish the grass and “most customers have not had complaints.” Real disservice. I still have, still wrinkled and unused.

09/10/2020 at 14:22 #145265MikeKeymasterI have trimmed it to the size I need and put books on it.
I reckon it will be acceptable.Ordinarily it would not pass muster, but given it is now free…
It does mean I will put on hold the tiles and so on, so with a free mat and no tiles to buy, that is £90 saved.
So, yeah, it is accetable.Until I get into it more and want betterer terrain.
😀
09/10/2020 at 14:28 #145266MikeKeymasterI wanted a 4 x 3 foot mat with no creases, or a load of tiles.
I ordered a big mat so I had the option for either.
Now my table is only 4 x 2.5So I needed either tiles that could overhang a little bit to get 4 x 3.
Or a board to stick the mat to in order to get 4 x 3.BUT, as I say for free I will try it as it is on the actual 4 x 2.5 table.
I did iron some of the worst out, but had to be careful not to wrinkle it.
Smaller than I planned, but to start with and given the price, acceptable. 😀

What shade grass did you order? Is that the “Summer” one from the link?

Yup, it seems to match well with the majority of static grass that people sell.
Better shot?:
