Refought the Battle of Courmier 1870 using Bloody Big Battles
AAr and photos at http://18clovehamhock.blogspot.com/2018/09/bloody-big-battles-return-to-coulmiers.html
Thanks, Will. I think you should keep replaying this until the French win! 😉

Bloody Big BATTLES!
Thanks for the AAR. I’ve played this twice as the French. The first game saw a left hook around the Bavarian right for a win. The second game saw me make a mostly frontal attack and get beaten, though with heavy loss on both sides. I like the idea of a die marking what turn it is, may have to swipe that.

As suggested on p4 of the BBB rulebook under section 2.8 Paraphernalia: “a large 12-sided die as a useful clock to keep track of game turns”. (No, I know, I never look at the rulebook either!)

A left hook by the French around the Bavarian right looks like the best plan for a French win. The two games we played saw the French trying to assault straight into the Bavarians at their strongest position and subjecting the French to heavy fire from them.
Here’s a link to the game we played a couple years back, part of our Franco-Prussian War campaign.
