Has anyone tried these rules for large actions in Vietnam? I am looking at games involving a couple of NVA regiments (6 battalions + heavy support) against 3 or 4 US battalions.
I am wondering if the rules are aimed more at battles in Europe using armour with infantry support and if they could cope with the like of jungle, paddy fields, etc.?

The intention was, as you suggest, more conventional battle fields though it shouldn’t be impossible.
Though we do include rules for “air assault infantry’ which are intended for things like “Nam or Afghanistan.
Many of the Assets available could work well too, particularly Commandos, Partisans and so on.
Engagement ranges are relatively short on the tabletop, so you’ll have to evaluate how that translates in very dense terrain, but it shouldn’t be unsolvable.
Does that help at all?
I have never thought of it, but it might be interesting at this scale. You could include some logistical elements, such as the need to have LZ’s secured for the US to stay supplied and disallow airstrikes and fir support for NVA units in contact with US units “hold on to their belts.”
Maybe something the scale of Ia Drang Valley?
