    Hey All,

I’ve been thinking, quite obsessively honestly, about what would constitute the ‘ideal’ flight stand for the project I’m working on, and I keep coming back to the idea of a ‘caltrop’ stand. Does anyone know if such a thing is already being made by someone?

I’m thinking of something sort of like this, but less pointy and with an aeroplane on the top:

I don’t know of any. I only remember seeing stands made from bending paperclips. This looks like something that could be easily 3D printed. Maybe one of those molecules models used in Chemistry and Physics.

Thats such a great idea – the fixed bottom looks much better than the normal adjustable tripod.

Think these may be too small https://www.gamingenhancements.com/air-1/litko-mini-flight-stands-1-inch-peg-10

I think these are for the very expensive die-cast models so, if you are feeling rich then https://www.diecastsupermart.com/small-tripod-stand-1-200.html

How about a plastic wine or cocktail glass or even a plastic funnel inverted??
