23/05/2018 at 12:07 #91009Michael ChargeParticipantSurprise! New post is up looking at some improvised Technical weapon systems. I was writing up something for Friday when I realised I haven’t written about some of the other technical bits I have assembled.

25/05/2018 at 14:51 #91971Darkest Star GamesParticipantNice! I’ve been playing a bit of SQUAD on the PC lately and one of the weapons the insurgents have is a rocket-pod techie. Really like seeing one on the table, and that turret techie is a hoot! I bet that thing will rock a little when fired!

GameCraft miniatures, a TWW advertiser, make a large number of ‘not adobe’ Middle East buildings and some Somali buildings from Blackhawk Down.
And 15mm and 6mm

With July being a bit busy, I’ve decided to run a series of posts looking into some of the older/already painted ranges I have in my collection. The next four posts will be taking a look at a group of figures from different manufacturers, covering what’s avaliable and some ways to use them on the battlefield. Part 1 of this series is taking a look at Spectre’s Task Force Nomad range.

27/07/2018 at 12:12 #95761MikeKeymaster27/07/2018 at 12:35 #95762Michael ChargeParticipantHa, I should charge for my reminder service!
I’ve really tried to make sure that consistency is a big thing – I.e. something every week. As part of this I’m usually planning for a few weeks ahead (be it the basics written or something half way painted) and I do a selection of post types so I can bounce around. Certain types of posts (like tactics or news articles) take much less time to produce so I can pick and choose my focus depending on how busy/inspired I am for that week
03/08/2018 at 12:16 #96198Michael ChargeParticipantThis week’s post is up! We’re taking a look another vehicle for all you US Army fans, the Styker ICV and MGS from Empress.
“Playing as US force in Ultramodern tabletop wargaming is like being a kid with a box of toys. There are so many options that are available! On one side, you could be rolling around in technicals as SF advisers alongside local troops. Alternatively, you could break out the heavy metal and plonk the Bradleys and Abrams on the table. An interesting option is to roll out with a Stryker Brigade Combat Team and all the vehicles it includes.”

I’m not supposed to cross the wargaming/real job streams (mainly so I can still my own projects like the Skirmish Sangin expansion) but I can say it features cowboys, is a video game and is the sequel to a previous game.
15/12/2018 at 12:16 #105808Michael ChargeParticipantAnd I’m back! Different day (expect this to always be different) but same time and with a brand new feature post! I’m taking a look at Spectre Miniature’s Ember team
