I think it’s fantastic.
Now tell me what I need to make it.20/05/2020 at 21:23 #136750
This particular console is made up of 5 separate LEGO pieces. Each piece is between 5 and 10 cents each, so the console comes out to be around 30-40 cents at most (if you buy in bulk). The colors don’t really matter since I plan to spray paint the consoles when done.
The main gray piece is a “2×2 slope”, like these here:
I added a gray “2×2 plate” to the backside, to give the body a little more bulk. It’s similar to this one:
The white piece is a “1×2 slope”, like this one:
And the blue pieces are just “1×1 slopes”, like these here:
Thats basically it, with a few tiny bits I had lying around, and styrene tile sheets for the keyboard and square buttons.
NOTE: The ebay links were selected at random from whatever results came up today. If you shop around I’m sure you can do better than those. I got my LEGO pieces a while back using Brick Owl:20/05/2020 at 22:25 #136754kyoteblueParticipant
Very cool !!!21/05/2020 at 02:49 #136760
By the way, I used photos of equipment in Cold War bunkers as the inspiration for the consoles:

Do it, man! Do it! Wipe off the dust on those bits and put them to good use!22/05/2020 at 18:03 #136859MikeKeymaster25/05/2020 at 02:19 #136961
By the way … I just remembered that a couple of years ago I bought a bunch of 3D “nail art” pieces, like these tiny rectangles, squares, etc., to use as display screens and such. There are loads of different 3D bits like them available via many sellers:
