I got a chance for another Chrome•Hammer playtest! It was a close game, but I think it was fun.

Fantastic game. I couldn’t really see the new Agent M. What new cool look does he have? Has he gone more cyberpunkish?

This is just the cyber-raven “avatar” that Agent M was using in VR. He still looks normal in meatspace. 🙂

It is a kewl cyberspace avatar.

What would the “2D shrinky-dink “avatars” ” look like? Paper? Monochrome?

Personally 3D wild and wacky could be neat! Of course you hafta find them, buy them, paint them… PAPER is COOL!!!

That was really cool!  Seemed very much in update to the old CP2020 hacks, though hopefully much faster.  I like being able to generate VR points.  Does having a deck allow more points to be generated, or what does it do?

Looking forwards to seeing this out to the public!

And how did you do that 8-bit artwork?

    Thanks!

The cyberdeck isn’t super exciting. To keep things consistent, all it does is grant a +2 bonus to tests to hack the stacks. Probably everybody should have had one.

And the artwork was just done “freehand”. (I mean, using Photoshop of course, but I did all of the work.) 🙂

VR powers not used that game were Tuning (move terrain), Glitch (randomly teleport figure), and SPISPOPD (let a figure move through terrain).

It reminds me of Tron with the vector graphics.  Great work.

You may have found another line of work should you want one.  The “8-bit” indy game is all the rage nowadays.

…and now the rules at Wargame Vault have been expanded to include aids for solo play!

I have bought the rules and they look good.  However, I don’t really have any good ideas about how to do the physical set-up!!! Help wanted, especially with good, cheap, easy terrain ideas…

    Wow. Good question!

You know, you just work with what you have. My table is usually a mix of resin sci-fi buildings, paper-craft, and scratch-built stuff.

If you have a 3d printer THESE (and related products) can (eventually) fill up a nice table.

Papercraft can look great if you don’t mind putting a little work into it.

I like to scatter these around to make a neighborhood look kind of rough:
    Shanties

    Also:
    Sci-Fi Checkpoints and Cargo Pods

Beyond that, you’re looking at gluing together and painting up foamcore buildings, but that’s a whole topic unto itself.

Many thanks Jason, I can use those ideas to help me get started.

Which scale? Assuming 15mm, and not being sure where you draw the line for “cheap”, here are some suggestions for sci-fi laser-cut buildings, cast/laser-cut components for detailing building exteriors, and various scatter terrain items:

Brigade Models (building components and cargo containers)

Ground Zero Games (building components and scatter terrain)

    Iliada Game Studio

    GameCraft

Thanks Rhoderic.  Both 28mm and 15mm are possibilities for me.

Ebbles miniatures, now called Genet has some free papercraft buildings and cars.

Edit: I do not see his buildings and cars.  It looks like he did them for World Works Games, but they may be defunct.

WorldWorksGames still have a web presence and are still selling the downloads, although they gave up on producing new material ages ago.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
