This weekend the club hosted its first ‘Lardy Day’ in the company of the Too Fat Lardies and guest gamers featuring seven games using Sharp Practice, Charlie Don’t Surf, Kiss Me Hardy and Sharply Buffed.

With seven games set up the day produced fourteen games allowing for a game in the morning and afternoon.

Much fun was had by all with about £200 GBP raised in support of Combat Stress, a British Veterans mental health charity.

If you would like to know more about the day then just follow the link to the club blog.

I do so enjoy some of the TFL games!  I had never heard of Sharply Buffed, still in development?

Ya know, I really appreciate that Vietnam table, not very often you see train tracks in a Nam game.  Yet what little infrastructure was left were big targets throughout the war.  And in such an interesting scale too!

A lot of great looking games there.  One of these days I’ll check out Kiss Me Hardy, looks like a hoot.

    Thanks for your comment.

I too got to see some of the TFL rules played that were new to me and the fun theme is a common one along with the historical one.

Sharply Buffed appeared as an adaptation to the rules and was published in one of the Summer Specials. Follow the link in the post to ‘the lead pile’ blog where Colin, one of our club members, has more information, if you are interested.
