Cork tiles as terrain base

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I am thinking if building a dedicated battle board (3×3 foot table) forces battle of Gribomvo 1897 scenario. I was thinking to use Home Depot  cork tiles (12×12 inch) to build the terrain and inadulations.</p>

Yup.
I did this for 6 x 4.

My basic tiles were 2 tiles thick.
This meant rivers could be sunken.
I also went up to 2 or 3 layers for hills.

However, I did use self adhesive tiles which was very handy and easy.
