Instead of a single time traveler, imagine a handful of well armed men/women looking for a thrill in distant prehistory and then, to their great surprise, coming across highly intelligent and much better armed reptilian hunters! Could that be the basis for a fun Pulp gaming scenario!
Thoughts? Further ideas? Could it be turned into a campaign? What rules would you recommend?

I was just reading about the Silurian Hypothesis, that if a previous civilization existed a few million years ago, could we tell? Would there be any evidence?
The world of Conan was based on the premise that there were humans before us, and Lovecraft took things a lot further back. Conan at least should have theoretically left archaeological traces. Lovecraft’s stuff survives only because it is still in some way living.

This still rates as one of my favourite childhood books. It is a shame the live action adaptation was unsuccessful.
