Plastic solider review has a new (to me) article that covers all the Dark Alliance plastic figures on their site.

I have a fair few of these as I am building up my one hour wargames fantasy armies so it is great to see the box contents before purchasing them.
I really do like the figures and they look great for my purposes. I have a few painted examples on my blog.Tally-Ho! Check out my blog at…..

The armoured trolls are really nice models, as are the halforcs, the elves are a little out of scale with each other but not that it bothers me as not everyone is the same height anyway. The horse lords are nice models and I’ve got some zeveda vikings for the levy troops on foot. All in all they are well worth the money in my opinion.

I’m tempted by some of the goblins, with 28mm figures they would look properly small 🙂

Although, if memory serves, aren’t they manufactured in the Ukraine? How’s current availability?

I believe that is correct, they seem to still be available from Drum & Flag, plus other ‘model’ kit online shops.

I think they would be more imp like than goblins if used alongside heroic sized goblins… ( not that goblins are noted for their heroism…)
If I get chance later I will do a side by side with some GW goblins and GW LotR goblins…. I just have to find them first…!
