Probably a defect of my personality, but I quite like playing games or campaigns with inadequate forces, desperately trying to hold things together against an overwhelming opposition, all towards an inevitable outcome. Perhaps because when I lose, I can confidently point at the designer and blame them.

And your subtle and quiet announcement of another Hellfire supplement worked; just ordered it.

But yes there is a certain sense of achievement when you realise that in spite of the odds, you’ve survived.
Or alternatively you’ve gone down to total ruin, but you have a feeling that you did better than you were entitled to 🙂
