I came across these figures on eBay and I was wondering if anyone knows who they were made by? The vendor doesn’t know the manufacturer but says they were purchased about thirty years ago.
The bases look very Frei Korps…but the figures themselves not so much
There's 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.....
Thanks bobm. If it is any help here are some cavalry and artillery figures (which I assume are by the same manufacturer but may not be!)
I’d say some may be Frei Korps Napoleonics a long since withdrawn range. I cannot recall that they ever did a Crimean range. The first figures may Garibaldi Guard from their ACW range.

Thanks OB. I’ve been through the current Freikorps ranges and haven’t managed to find any matches for the figures. I like them because they have got a gangly, old school charm about them. I’m not sure I actually like them enough to buy them but I am tempted.
The metal looks like it can bend – which suggests it is not old Freikorps. Nor does the style seem like Freikorps.
But very charming. The old smooth style sculpting is refreshing.
I think they might be Rank and File castings, but this is a guess based on style and the distinctive round thick bases. Here are some photos of their Russian range – https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/15mm-rank-file-russian-soldiers-2016294443
Here’s another photo – I must say the sculpting looks quite similar to your samples. http://15mmvsf.bagofmice.com/Minis/photo_lib/OG_RankAndFile_OG.JPG
If they are R&F, I believe Old Glory still sell and manufacture them, which I think Timecast still carry? I’d think Irregular and Minifigs would match well in size, if you need to fill out your ebay purchase.
Old Glory 15s (different from Old Glory. Don’t ask) do indeed still produce Rank & File. I like their 1877 Turks a lot, have not got any Crimean figures.
This too shall pass
Thanks guys,
I have checked out the Rank & File figures but they look quite different from the ones being sold on eBay. Rank & File Crimean War
However, the Rank and File figure that Tony S linked to does look similar so maybe they remodeled the range at some point?
