Early Byzantine Skutatoi Combined Unit Command Stand

I like the soft fade/transition on the scales and cloak. Did you do it through painting or washed?

It’s all just layered paint. No washes.
The trick is to have the paint with a consistency just thicker than milk, except for the final highlight on the whites (VMC Ivory) which I use more ‘heavily’.
