I recently bought some Flory clay washes for my models and in this blog I have the results of some experimentation, also I went to Vienna for the weekend and saw a couple of Flak Towers in Augarten. There’s a few pictures of them on this post as well:

Thanks for reading!

I have not really pushed their limits yet, but yes, as you can wipe them off, I think you’d be able to leave the wash in the deep recesses of the tyre. I know a lot of people use pigments to do that, so these should work in a similar way.

That looks like a success to me. I’d be interested in seeing how it works on deeper surfaces, just like Mike 😉

Thanks Alexander, yes, I’m looking forward to seeing it as well. I will post any further work with these washes on my blog.

That’s nice work. Every time I try to use washes, I make a mess of things.
Thanks Noel, ha ha, I always make a mess with washes, but that’s the effect I’m after! Seriously though, these Flory washes should be quite forgiving as you can just wipe them off and start again if you don’t like the results.
