ParticipantWell its nearly that time of year again for my local show, which is on Sunday the 28th of October at its usual spot opposite the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Its free entry this year (in remembrance of a sadly deceased club member)though you can donate to a number of charities that will be in attendance, their will also be a raffle(or two) to benefit said charities and I believe the prizes will be donated from the various vendors and Leeds Wargames Club(the show hosts)
As an added bonus the Armouries are having a week long World War event which coincides with the show and I’m led to believe their will be a number of vehicles and a full size(replica)spitfire outside the Armouries (don’t forget the Armouries is completely free entry too).
So if you’re popping along let me know it would be nice to put faces to names, and not being involved in any games this year I’ll have time for a chat/beer.

ParticipantHadn’t intended to go, but since it’s free (!), and only a 45 minute bus ride away, I might well pay you a visit. Will you be the one looking like Carlos the Jackal? I’m the one looking like a Dalek.

ParticipantNo I did away with that look, (besides its the Dude not CtJ!) I’m easy to spot though as I’ll be the slightly chubby one with thinning hair and glasses, fortunately their are no stairs at the event so you’ll have no issues with entry!

ParticipantI’ve rarely missed Fiasco in recent times but this year may be an exception. The appalling reliability of Sunday rail services over the Pennines makes it unlikely that I’ll risk it. I missed Joy of 6 because of it and it still shows no sign of getting better.

ParticipantAs a daily user of Trans Pennine Express & Northern Rail services I can sympathise with your situation

At a wargames show that really doesn’t narrow it down much. Heck, it sounds like me.
You said the show will be opposite The Armouries. I’ve not been since the wasteland in front of The Armouries was where you parked your car. Since it’s now all built on which building will it be in?

ParticipantJust bumping this up, as Fiasco is tomorrow, remember its free entry, and the Armouries which is well worth a visit and just over the square from the show is free too
