Hello everyone, I am new here, although not new to gaming. My main focus these days is 6mm Napoleonics, somewhat old school. I am a long time H&R figures guy, have used a lot of different rules going all the way back to Featherstone. I am now a solo player, can play both sides using lots of rule sets, but  I am always looking for ways to make this a better experience.

My question is this: Has anyone tried using Dan Versen’s  solo board game, Field Commander: Napoleon, using miniatures to stage the battle component of this campaign/ battle game? The solo mechanism is quite good for campaigns, the seven campaign game boards, counters, etc. are exceptional, following Napoleon’s entire career.  It would be great to substitute the miniatures tabletop rules of your choice to stage the battles, using some of the solo battle mechanisms. Looking to see if any one has tried this and how it went.  Bruce
