I’m not sure where this topic should go so please if this is the wrong place let me know.
11/04/2015 at 08:19 #21765Iain FullerParticipantI’d love to see a 15mm Napoleonic Confederation of the Rhine range made – you always have to fudge/proxy/convert to get things just right which is ok but knowing that the Perry’s do them so magnificently in 25mm nearly turned me to the dark side!
Also Wurttembergers in shako’s – I know the helmet looks immensely cool and AB do them which are beautiful but it would be nice to have the option.
I’ll be long gone by the time Blue Moon decides to get some done – they’ve probably got more important ranges to finish off first like ‘Dickensian Detectives’ or some such!!
11/04/2015 at 10:41 #21779RhodericMember3mm early middle ages, especially for the Mediterranean region (El Cid, Normans in southern Italy, First Crusade, Komnenian Restoration and all that).
3mm Sengoku-era Japanese.
6mm fantasy figures of the same quality as Microworld’s but in a less cartoonish, less Warhammeresque style. Alternatively I could go for 3mm fantasy.
28mm “Not Eldar” of an old-school (Rogue Trader and 2nd ed 40K) aesthetic, so I won’t have to wade into the market for expensive OOP GW figures.
A small range of Escaflowne-style fantasy mechs, scaled for 15mm or 10mm or thereabouts.
11/04/2015 at 12:15 #21780John D SaltParticipant15mm soft plastics. The existing 1/72 ranges of Airfix, Caesar, Pegasus, Esci/Italieri, Zvezda, Hat and Orion, pantographed down to 15mm, and injection-moulded in something polythenish.
In case this is viewed as a call for existing figures in a new scale, rather than for new figures, I should also like to have added late-1970s BAOR, Soviet Union, East German, French, German, Italian, Swedish and American infantry in combat equipment, with a parallel range showing each in NBC gear.
Also, a set of modern civilians — “modern” meaning that they are all either talking on their mobile phone, staring down at the phone in their hand, holding their phone up to take a photo of something interesting, or holding it out to take a selfie.
All the best,
John.
11/04/2015 at 12:23 #21781Rules Junkie JimParticipantOh, you’ve done it now…. *cracks knuckles* Dear Santa…
In 3mm, I’d like to see modern scenery – blocks of flats, government buildings, factories, oil refineries, houses.
In 6mm, I guess I’d like to see the modern stuff that GHQ release also released by Heroics & Ros or Scotia . GHQ vehicles are excellent, but they’re just too big to fit with the rest of my minis. I love H&R’s new range of T54/T55 versions and I’d like to see that expanded, and maybe see the same done for the T72. In terms of 6mm figures, I’d like to see a generic range of modern figs similar to that produced by Peter Pig in 15mm for the AK47 range. Armoured trucks would be nice, from Vietnam types to modern US and insurgent gear, I can find home for them all.
Recently I notice that Oddzial Osmy have started producing vehicles that haven’t actually gone into production yet in the real world (and might never do so!), and I’d like to see that in 6mm. For use in imagi-nation scenarios they’re ideal.
For 1/2400, I would like Russian and Turkish ironclad era ships.
Thank you, for now…
11/04/2015 at 12:24 #21782Rules Junkie JimParticipantOh, nearly forgot – I’d like Microworld Games fantasy and sci fi figures available in the UK.
11/04/2015 at 12:56 #21784PaulParticipantPop culture figures in 15mm. Off the top of my head I would love:
The A-Team
The Endless (from Sandman)
Alice (from Resident Evil)
The entire Game of Thrones cast
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Harry Flashman
He-Man and the MOTU
Flash GordonFor historical:
28mm hard plastic samurai (I know about Wargames Factory, but their poses look a bit rigid IMHO)
28mm hard plastic cavemen and neanderthals
More 15mm modern civilian vehiclesThose are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!
11/04/2015 at 13:09 #21787RhodericMemberThe entire Game of Thrones cast
You’d have to engage the full-time services of multiple highly prolific sculptors for a period of several years. And presumably you’ll need each character sculpted in a second, dead, pose
11/04/2015 at 13:23 #21788Rules Junkie JimParticipantAlso, a set of modern civilians — “modern” meaning that they are all either talking on their mobile phone, staring down at the phone in their hand, holding their phone up to take a photo of something interesting, or holding it out to take a selfie.
Paint them with YOLO tattoos and the enemy can do whatever they like – my heavy artillery knows its duty
11/04/2015 at 13:48 #21789PaulParticipantRhoderic, of course I need casualty figures for all my choices, that goes without saying. But I also should have specified that “zombified” versions of each choice are also required
Those are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!
11/04/2015 at 14:09 #21793irishserbParticipant15mm Figures for the 1970s and 1980s (meaning two lines where required) of US, Soviet, East German, UK, French, and West German troops (with sniper rifles, grenade launchers, shotguns were appropriate), including squad/section leaders, officers, and all infantry support and heavy weapons, including mortars, MGs, and anti-tank weapons.
11/04/2015 at 14:37 #21799Mr. AverageParticipantRetro-sci fi powered armor, robot and tank miniatures based on the works of Kow Yokoyama. ANY… DAY… of the WEEK.
11/04/2015 at 15:26 #21813Not Connard SageParticipantSome properly researched 28mm wae-ran period Koreans. Preferably without bas-relief shields
Obvious contrarian and passive aggressive old prat, who is taken far too seriously by some and not seriously enough by others.
11/04/2015 at 16:01 #21814kyoteblueParticipantModern War Gamers in 15mm personality’s from some web sites….wink wink.
11/04/2015 at 17:49 #21825willzParticipantThe classic Spencer Smith 18th century range of figures, cast in hard plastic with the molds retooled to produce a better figure.
Failing that 25/28mm hard plastic 18th century figures marching, French, Austrian, Prussian, British a one piece figure with spare heads and the same for cavalry an one piece figure of a trooper on a trotting horse with spare heads and arms.
I have a dream.
11/04/2015 at 19:00 #21829Mr. AverageParticipantOh, and 3mm scale BOLOs. And 6mm scale BOLOs.
11/04/2015 at 19:11 #21831SpuriousParticipantMore modern sci-fi. Aliens and alien machines in particular.
Things in that niche that sits between gritty space-cold-war-hardware and space-fantasy-with-X-animal people (unless it’s something highly unused like cuttlefish rather than cat people, dog people, lizard people. Though saying that I think the space velociraptors was a great thing because they were not just dinosaur people).
Less 1980s stuff, especially since we now actually have an Alien vs Predator game and a Terminator game. More XCOM (old or new), Blame!, Serious Sam, STALKER.
11/04/2015 at 21:44 #21842grizzlymcParticipant6mm – not irregublobs, but Baccus or Adler
Indian Mutiny
3rd Afghan War
India 18th C
Conquistadores vs Inca and Mapuche
Napoleonic ships crews and marines
Austro Prussian war
Franco Austrian war
GW 1890 all powers
Russo Japanese11/04/2015 at 21:45 #21843grizzlymcParticipantOooh, and 19th C Persians and Ottomans

11/04/2015 at 21:49 #21845grizzlymcParticipantOh, and WWII Norwegian campaign series
Gebeerjaggers, brits dressed like bears, odd Froggies, Norwegians, Huns and Brits in greatcoats
I’m sure I can think of more with some effort.
11/04/2015 at 23:09 #21852shelldrakeParticipantI would love Eureka to make more 15mm Modern Aussies – infantry with support weapons, mortars and crew, SAS and Commandos (inc. the SAS on bikes and quads).
Khurasan to make command packs for their Modern North Korean range.
Some 3mm Modern jets that only “Shapeways” with their over the top postage makes that you can’t get in metal.
A range of not “the Wild Geese” film miniatures… not sure on the scale I would want though.
11/04/2015 at 23:11 #21853shelldrakeParticipantModern War Gamers in 15mm personality’s from some web sites….wink wink.
Well, if you really must have a miniature of me, Eureka makes modern Australian army in 15mm…

12/04/2015 at 19:03 #21906Ivan SorensenParticipantWhile I am sure they wouldn’t sell well, 15mm ww2 figures of all nationalities running away, surrendering, cowering and casualties.
Also, 15mm NVA but Geoff is working on those 🙂
Lemmy from Motorhead in 15mm.
“Not-Geth” from Mass Effect. 6mm or 15mm.
12/04/2015 at 20:54 #21911DMParticipantAsian warships of the 1500s and 1600s in 1/600 or 1/1200, Turtle Ships, Panokseon and the like. I have the rules, just need the models!
13/04/2015 at 00:47 #21920Alexander WasbergParticipantI agree with Mr Average, anything Ma.K! Preferably 6mm since we have the brigade egg-suits that kinda fits the look..
More monsters and characters for 6mm fantasy
Mechs of all shapes and sizes: @Rhoderic
A small range of Escaflowne-style fantasy mechs, scaled for 15mm or 10mm or thereabouts.
Yes. Just yes.

13/04/2015 at 03:26 #21940Ivan SorensenParticipantSome anime-style humanoid mecha for 6mm would be sweet

..
Should be an easy conversion….
19/04/2015 at 10:20 #22530RhodericMemberA few more thoughts:
Some fantastical “post apoc feudal” knights/warriors, tanks, flying machines and civilians in the style of the Nausicaä manga and anime, in pretty much any scale from 6mm to 28mm. Maybe some animals to go with them, including invertebrate megafauna that don’t look “evil”.
Adding to the list of pop culture figures: “The Tatianas”. A group of female clones with divergent personalities, including the street punk, the psycho killer, the prissy housewife, the indie scientist and the domineering corporate b-word
More 28mm fantasy figures with that unmistakable Gary Chalk aesthetic, sculpted to modern standards of quality. Fortunately, according to Joe Dever when I asked him a few months ago, Minifigs is already working on it. I just hope there will be more Giaks with the same weapons but different poses so I can make a good warband with some uniformity in their armaments.
Oh, and as for the Escaflowne-style mechs, I could take them scaled for 6mm, too (not that I expect anyone will make them). I’d even take them in 3mm. They could also be mechs that combine the similar-but-not-identical aesthetics of Vision of Escaflowne, Magic Knight Rayearth and Five Star Stories.
20/04/2015 at 19:51 #22652CuchulainnMember20mm Koreans for Vietnam, along with Ruff-Puff figures. That would do me very nicely.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
