    All,

I’m posting this to show I finished all my stuff up for KG Klink’s invasion of France, but then it’s not quite true as I decided, perfectly last minute-like, that I wanted more vehicles. I contacted The Warstore, and not only were they super helpful in answering some product inventory queries I had, but I placed my order Tuesday and they were waiting for me on Thursday when I got home. So I’ve got about another 15 vehicles to finish up, all German except for two more French Char B1 bis.

But all the stuff I previously ordered is now ready 😉 And the invasion begins this weekend regardless (I don’t need any of the stuff I just received for the first fight). So relax and take a look around.

Here’s the whole thing: I ordered a Pendraken halftrack and made up a French command stand, used some spare infantry to make some more ‘heroes.’

The Brits got a Pendraken truck, officer, and ‘Monty’ figure to make a command stand, two Pendraken 2-pounder anti-tank guns, a Pendraken Matilda II (to go with the Cruiser, two Matilda Is, two Vickers, and three armored cars), three Pendraken Vickers machine guns, and three Engineer stands (also Pendraken).

I got some Allied and German surrendering guys and dismounted tank commanders.

The Germans got another PzJgr I and five assault boats for crossing the Meuse and Somme.

Again, I say again, stand by, the invasion of France kicks off this weekend.

    V/R,
    Jack

    Woo-hoo!

“The goose-step’s the new step in France”. Great news Jack! Looks like Kyoteblue’s Elvira campaign will be left in Rommel’s dust. Good to hear you took the plunge and bought more Char B1’s. It’ll be so much more satisfying when you beat them. I’m glad to hear that the WarStore impressed you. I have been impressed by Neal’s excellent service every time I have ordered from him. You know he really likes to be referred to as the Grand Poo-Bah, so when you order the thee more Somua S-35’s you forgot to include in the last order, call him that and you may get them the same day!

I for one am really looking forward to this so good gaming and have lots of fun!

After looking at your early war stuff I’d really like to take the plunge. But I’ve so much 15mm I’d prefer to go that route. Wonder is there any reasonably priced 15mm stuff available. I don’t feel like spending a lot of time painting. I’m in one of those dry spells and I’ve promised Robin I’d spend lots of out door time this summer so I don’t think I can afford to paint much…

    Anyway looking forward to it

We should hold a celebration day where we all have to eat French food ….snails and frogs legs anyone?

You know, if you did Company Commander, 50 bucks or so would get you a battle-worthy army in 15mm 😉

How much are those platoon packs? 20’ish bucks?

3 or 4 riflemen per infantry stand, use the Bren’s for an MG stand, a few individual figures for specialists and you’ll easily have 6-7 infantry stands.

Buy a tank or two and you’re good to go 🙂

Does Plastic Soldier make a 15mm/1/100 early war Brit Infantry box ???

I was talking about one of the Battlefront packs actually, though I don’t know if they do early war either.

My 15’s are a mix of Battlefront, PP and CD.

Half the CD figures were great, half were awful.

    It’s a great scale…you are a clever clogs Mister Weasel 🙂

I’m jumping around too much from scale to scale

Oh, I buy crap in every scale 🙂

But 15mm is GodLenin’s own scale.

Trying to narrow things down to one scale for each game or project.

Really looking forward to what you do with this project. I have recently bought La Bataille France 1940, which is a tactical boardgame from compass games, covering this period with counters representing platoons and with a scale of 150 – 200 metres per hex, so this is a really interesting game for boardgames as the lower squad scale is already very well covered by several producers.

So with my enthusiasm fired for a new era (I am usually playing mid war), I will be following your exploits and will be interested to see how the French armour stacks up against the German armour … in usage, not just raw firepower / armour terms.
