I finally got round to making flight stands for my WW2 aircraft.

1/72 diecast planes are not light so I had to make tripods from coat hanger wire to provide enough support.

The effect is good but I’m wondering what colour to paint the shiny metal to make it disappear.

Flat black is traditional. Black says, “I am a stand, ignore me.”

You'll shoot your eye out, kid!

The same thinking that puts stage hands in black. Illogical….but I like it.

    Thanks, donald

(KB: green earth gaming mat surface but thanks for the idea).

How about grey?  A fairly ‘neutral’ colour & has the advantage of being available as a Halfrauds spray can

I too subscribe to this idea.
