ParticipantI’m going to be selling some of my 15mm modern and semi-modern stuff and here is the first batch. These figures represent modern US marines, Afghan National Army & police, as well as Taliban guerillas. Everything in this group is nicely painted. If you want to see more photos than what I’m posting, let me know and I’ll be happy to post them to you. I’ll listen to any reasonable offer, so don’t be shy. If you make me a nice enough offer, I’ll throw in all of my unpainted stuff for this period as well.
Important Note: I’m willing to break this into parts as long as what your asking for is reasonable. Just let me know and we can discuss however you want it.
US Marines
The first part of this is the marines. These are almost all Peter Pig figures, except for a couple of specialist troops. I based this using FOW bases for the troops (Large for the fire teams, small for weapons and specialists) and round bases for the command troops. The marine force consists of the following:
12 x Infantry fire teams (4 figures per base)
2 x Recon teams (3 figures per base, wearing boonie hats)
4 x SAW teams (2 figures per base)
2 x Javelin launcher teams (2 figures per base)
1 x Sniper in a Ghillie suit
2 x Forward Observer/ Forward Air Controller teams (2 figures per team)
3 x “Lieutenants” (might be sergeants) (1 command figure per base)
1 x “Captain” (3 figures per base)
2 x HMMWV vehicles
Afghan National Army & Police
These represent Afghan troops allied with the US troops to fight the Taliban. The figures are a mix of Peter Pig and Old Glory. This force consists of the following:
9 x Afghan National Army (ANA) fire teams (4 figures per base)
3 x Afghan National Police (ANP) fire teams (4 figures per base)
3 x LMG teams (2 figures per team)
1 x recon team (4 figures per base)
4 x “Lieutenants” (1 figure per base)
1 x “Captain” (4 figures per base)
2 x HMMWV vehicles (painted in ANA camo)
2 x Afghan Police pickup trucks (each with a bunch of riders in the back)
The Taliban
These figures are a mix of Old Glory and Cannon Fodder. Cannon Fodder is an Australian company that is no longer in production, so these are pretty rare now, and very nice, including a miniature Osama Bin Laden. (They also made a Saddam Hussein in a beret flashing his middle finger. I have that figure unpainted somewhere in my lead pile, and if you want him, I’ll throw him in with this. That is, if I can find him). The Taliban force consists of the following:
17 x guerrilla teams (3-4 figures per base, for a total count of 60 figures)
3 x LMG teams (2 figures per team)
3 x mortar teams (2 figures per team)
2 x recon teams (2 figures plus a motorcycle per team)
1 x recoilless rifle team (2 figures)
1 x rocket launcher team (Really should be offboard artillery. 2 figures plus a big makeshift rocket launcher)
6 x snipers (1 figure per base)
5 x “lieutenants” (1 figure per base)
1 x “captain” (3 figures per base)
2 x pickup trucks (Each with a bunch of riders in the back)
2 x civilian cars (deliberately painted as beat-up “third world” cars)
3 x PT-76 light tanks (The Taliban were known to have a few of these early on, but these are painted a basic green and weathered a bit, so they could be from anywhere)

ParticipantDitto to what Geoff said…those Marines look great and I would make an offer, but it would be a cheap one, and I like my figs individually mounted for Force on Force. But really crackin’ good work there!

ParticipantThanks for those compliments, guys! 🙂
I should add that I’d be happy to ship these anywhere in the world for not a lot of money. For destinations outside the US, I’ll only ask for half the shipping charge.
I really just want these guys to go to a good home. 🙂

ParticipantJust wanted to echo what everyone else said – VERY nice painting and basing. I especially love the three-man team in the second pic of the Americans.
Those are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!
