Ah I don’t yet play video games. Maybe when I am old and can’t push toys on the table.

Well, not missing out too much because the FPS genre is actually kinda really limited of late to perpetual Cod/Battlefield and other multiplayer focused titles.
But. If you’ve not played Shadow Warrior (2013 version) or Rise of the Triad (also 2013 version), find a way and do!
Both are very good modern takes on a couple of very old FPS games. Shadow Warrior especially has far better story telling, music and writing than it has any right to have, plus gaining of abilities over time/skill-tree stuff. It was easily one of the best games of recent times and I cannot recommend it enough. Rise of the Triad though is just some really damn good action with power-ups, power-downs and explosions forever.

Ideally sci-fi and or PA, but maybe zombies.
Preferably a game where you can level up like Borderlands.
Must have a decent story, Borderlands yes, Destiny no.
PS4 or Xbox 360 please.”
What infernal Jive-language are you Hep-cat kids speaking so loudly in. Now, get off’ah my lawn,

Story was weaker than 3 but still pretty decent and blowing up eagles never gets old.Obviously not scifi of course.
Is weird-history okay? Wolfenstein the New Order is fantastic. Surprisingly great story telling and you get to blast Nazi robots with electricity guns.

bit late coming to this particular party, but have you tried Left For Dead 2 on steam. It’s an fps with zombies and you absolutely have to co-operate with the other 3 players to “win”. I particularly like this cooperative aspect of the game and means you can play with complete strangers who tend to help you rather than kill you like they do in other multi-player fps games
cheers

That OP needs updating actually. Our gaming rig is old now and won’t run newer games, so rather than upgrade it and start saving to upgrade it again in a few years, we bought an Xbox One, several controllers, games and had change left over from what we would have needed to spend to bring the PC up to spec.
23/08/2017 at 00:39 #70282SplodParticipantI’m honestly surprised no-one has mentioned Fallout 4 yet!
Seriously mate, you can pick it up for X-Box One for a steal (it’s 2 years old) and there’s plenty of DLC if you want (that adds flavour, but isn’t needed).
It can be first, or third person. There’s a strong RPG element, with hours and hours of story options. There’s a base/settlement building mechanic, and several major factions you can choose to ally with, or wipe out.

What? It is literally exactly what you’ve asked for, in your opening post
There’s no pleasing some people
I also don’t like Mechs (call myself a sci-fi wargamer?)
You’re a bit of a weird one, eh?
24/08/2017 at 09:53 #70332MikeKeymaster24/08/2017 at 21:55 #70364SplodParticipantWell, if you can put that aside for a minute… Fallout 4 is fantastic, and well worth a look.
It’s a bit more of a traditional FPS than Fallout 3, and a significant departure from the historical top down RPG of 1, 2 & Tactics.
