I saw this idea on FB and they say they nicked it from LAF.
Whatever the case, a good idea is a good idea.
There is a what is on your painting desk type topic HERE

But things that are on the painting desk, could be purchases from years ago.
So I thought we could have a what has just arrived in the post topic too.

I have just ordered some figures, so will share those when they arrive, until then, some stuff that arrived recently:

That’s a nice box of terrain goodies. Also, what a cool idea for a thread. I have two orders of Japanese incoming and will share once they’re here.

These were quite unexpected, as the post from across the Atlantic has been dreadfully slow as of late, so being in Canada, I had resigned myself to a couple of more weeks.

    But I’m not complaining!

Or if anyone from Argentina wishes to share this post on another website…

    Arrivals

Vallejo Paints – Especially Russian Green, one of the most versatile paints that I have.

A Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 plastic sprue for an 8 rad armoured car

    On the way

The new 2nd Edition Bloody Barons from Peter Pig – I have had mailing confirmation, so it is on the way. At the moment I have plenty of 28mm War of Roses plastics on their sprues and have been testing the Sword and Spear rules, so this will give another option and in any case, has a load of scenarios.

Both ordered the same day, both arrived just now.
Just ordered a couple of each to gauge size and style etc.

Moonraker Miniatures supplied by Forlorn Hope Games.

    Hasslefree Miniatures

Forlorn/Moonraker no sweets but more environmentally friendly packing.

    Next to each other.
Hasslefree are more subtle and delicate sculpts which for me makes them seem more realistic, but to be honest as models to represent RPG characters, I am not fussed either way.

I order from North Star a lot. I like the stuff they carry and I also get a monthly £5 discount as a Wargames Illustrated subscriber. This parcel took several weeks to reach me, though. Must be Covid-19.

There’s a 12-pack of the new plastic trees from Mantic Games, a selection of Bad Squiddo 28mm figures (at this point I just want to gauge their compatibility for the various projects I have them in mind for: fantasy, feudal Japan and gothic horror) and some 20mm-ish Gaslands figures. I included a few Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars in the Gaslands figure photo for comparison. Also, my grainy photos have failed to capture the nice bark texture on the trees.

This is a beautiful book that really helps to visualise the theatre of operations and the feel of it. Very pleased with this purchase!
