As promised elsewhere – I’ve put them in VSF coz that’s what I intend to mostly use them for.

First up two Acheson Creations tyrannosaurs, Bonaparte and Wellesley, named as I painted them, but particularly appropriate today!

    Bonaparte:

    Wellesley:

Again from Acheson a flock(?) of protoceratops, painted like chameleons:

Finally a group of Khurasan Miniatures triceratops:

These rock so hard! Those protoceratops are GORGEOUS and will certainly be included in future additions of Cretacea (we’re going to be releasing bi weekly/ monthly dinosaur slips for people to use with new dinosaurs and tactics)

What game are you intending to use them for first?

    Thank you.

I have some Khurasan edmontosaurs, struthiomimus and deinonychus on the bench at the moment, with Khurasan allosaurs, ankylosaurs, some other QRF stuff and some plastic-but-the-right-size brachiosaurs close behind.

I shall probably have a go with your rules first, as they don’t need humans and I have yet to try them. Leaving out humans makes solo play a bit easier because movement can be dictated by instinct – predators move towards meat, and fight if they catch it; herbivores move away from hunters and fight if they’re caught. Simples!

Hehe you defintiely get the ethos of our rules! I would maybe suggest waiting a little as the redraft demo rules will be out before long, but the original does work and i’ve had little qualm with it, there is an F.A.Q on the site but i can’t wait for the new one to be out, maybe you could help playtest?

I’m certainly happy to help with playtesting. I’ll get on and sort out some of the Chinese plastic cycads and palms I have so that I can decorate the table properly.

    Get on with it then!

More seriously; thanks, Dan, for the complimentary words, it’s nice to have my stuff liked by someone whose stuff I like…

    Thanks gents!

Only one wash – all Vallejo paints and washes, sepia wash over a sienna upper body and cork brown lower, dry brushed sand below and tan above, then red along the crest and spine.

Thank you kindly, sir. Small but bitey beasties coming next – probably early next week.

Here we are then – rather later than I’d hoped, Khurasan deinonychus – how Jurassic Park/World velociraptors are supposed to look…

…but you can probably dispute the colours!

Those look incredible!  But I can just hear someone saying … they are just giant turkeys, like that creepy kid said in the first JP film.

Thanks Dan, but I feel I must respond as Dr Grant did, (and yes, I did have to look it up!)

    “A turkey, huh?”

Although, to be honest, it means I have achieved my intention to make them look like modern birds rather than lizards.

Some more 15mm Khurasan dinos finished. Firstly a flock of struthiomimus…

…and a couple of ankylosaurs. Anybody who has seen Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous will know how I chose the colours!

Hey bud i totally didn’t get a chance to read up on your thread for ages and wow! Love the progress. very exciting. definitely gonna get some of the 15mm dinos, seems like a really digestible scale. Also love the ankylosaurus paint scheme.

So, after a lengthy distraction or four, back to the dinosaurs.

All 15mm, all from Khurasan, and all colours inspired by birds.

First up some Stygimoloch, with colours from the Plum-Headed Parakeet:

Next a small flock of Cassowary-coloured Anzus:

Finally Dakotaraptors coloured in as Roseate Spoonbills.
