Hammer of Democracy – How do you deploy?

In the scenario set up rules you get a distance for how far apart forces have to be but how exactly do you deploy?  I had been letting units appear (as if by magic) when they got an activation.  Now thinking it is maybe better to deploy everything at the start of the game.  Would you do this alternate units at a time?  How does anyone else do it?

I’ve always set up from the start and alternating, unless its an attack/defense, in which case I prefer setting up the defenders first.

I do actually kinda like “beaming down” on first activation though. Like they are deploying from march.

‘Beaming down’ is kind of how the TFL ‘Chain of Command’ rules did it, although there are deployment points and troops have to be within a certain distance of those points.
