    Hullo all,

I’ve moved somewhere a little cooler than I am used to- how will this affect my using rattle cans to apply varnish?

    Thanks in advance

From my limited use of spray varnish I would use it under temperate conditions as I do with all spray paint, I would not use either spray varnish or paint in the cold as that effects drying time.

I only ever used spray varnish once and it went cloudy after it dried, so I only use paint on varnish (Windsor and Newton) with a brush and then only the first 2/3 of the bottle.

Living in Wales I’ve found most temperature conditions to be OK over around say 7C. But I don’t leave my figures to dry outside.

Drizzle is the killer – any moisture in the air and you could be in trouble.
