Does anyone know how tall the Team Yankee East German Infantry are?05/02/2017 at 16:59 #57365
I don’t have any yet but if I do get some I’ll measure them.06/02/2017 at 00:23 #57391
I ordered a box of the East German Motor Infantry so when I get them in I’ll measure them for you.09/02/2017 at 21:11 #57678
I got the Heavy Weapons East Germans, do you have a Facebook page Irishserb ??? I can post pictures of them there.10/02/2017 at 01:04 #57682
No, I can’t do facebook. It can be a problem with my job.
I trust your judgement to measure them if that’s okay. I’m hoping that they are more in the 16 to 16.5mm range max, rather than 18mm (or more) as has been suggested to me by someone elsewhere. Just interested in bottom of feet to top of head/helmet. Thanks for the help.10/02/2017 at 01:57 #57688
I wish I could post pics here…but I will measure them.10/02/2017 at 06:57 #57692
I’ve got some on order as well… 🙂

My East Germans have arrived. They’re exactly 15mm foot-to-eye, or 16mm to the top of the helmet. EXACTLY the same size as QRF Soviets and West Germans and Peter Pig figures – I’ve just taken a comparison photo which I’ll post up later. I’d guess that they’re 1mm or so shorter than Khurasan Soviets.
It’s been a long time since I last bought Flames of War figures, but these have impressed me – nowhere near as chunky as some I’ve bought in the past and the smallarms are well-scaled. My only criticism is that the ATGMs and AGS-17s are rather on the large size. All in all, very nice indeed!

Here you go. The three in the middle are Team Yankee East Germans. The one on the left is QRF Soviet and the one on the right is a Peter Pig Soviet:

That is wonderful to know, many thanks for the info and photo. Looks like they will fit right in with the rest of my stuff.
Guessing that the first guy I talked too was measuring from the bottom of the base.14/02/2017 at 14:47 #57949
Yeah, I expect so. That said, the bases are in the main, thinner than I’ve seen on other FoW infantry.

I painted the first group of 21 figures today and they are an absolute joy to paint. Very crisply cast and plenty of clearly-defined detail. Another batch under the brush now. I’ll take some photos tomorrow.
