With the completion of Marshal Victor’s I Corps d’Armee work now moves to focus on the Spanish cavalry units that formed the 2nd Cavalry Division under General Albuquerque
The Hussars of Estremadura were one of the new regiments that appeared at Talavera having made their debut in March 1809 at the Battle of Medellin.
