I have been reading TFLs IABSM and wondered if anyone knew if the card deck was still available for sale anywhere? I saw on their website that there is a download and print set, but I want their printed cards instead.

In a word no, although on their forum there are a number of folk who talk about using ArtsCow to print out sets. You can find some user made sets on that site, as far as I know they print out the set and send it to you? not sure how it works.

    For example: http://www.artscow.com/gallery/playing-cards/iabsm-axis-generic-cards-wargame-02nlz3hq1ymo

Personally I’m following a certain Mr Derek Hodge (http://dereksweetoys.com/chips-with-everything/) and going with MDF chips as I tend to agree the shuffling of cards is more frustrating than picking up chips!

Also John Bond (http://iagsmgm.blogspot.com/2015/06/iabsm-card-deck.html) has his own card deck option which I rather like too!

Hope some of that is helpful!

Thank you, I did find that answer myself after a bit more searching. I went down the route of printing the downloadable ones from the Lardies site. I fell on the ArtsCow page in my search, it looks like a pay to print place alright, but I think it’s US based (I’m UK), so I’m not sure how much postage would be. I really like the idea of using the chips, that’s a really good idea and I might pursue that myself. John Bond’s cards are really nice as well. So, yes, it was all very useful actually!

For other TFL games I’ve used cardboard chits picked out of a large teacup. Just shake the cup, much easier than shuffling a deck with my fat fingers.

LOL at fat fingers! Yes, I can’t believe I didn’t reach the same conclusion, I play Arkham Horror where chits are plucked from a bag, so this is no different. I have printed the set of cards already, so I’ll  see how I get on with a deck, but might look at getting some chits instead.
