I’ve started to get in fantasy mood after small scale sci-fi adventure. I think I am much interested with fantasy in winter time. I don’t know any of you have a cycle this way ? Since I can make MDF sihoulettes I don’t have a figure problem too. I’m based in Turkey and it’s hard to find and buy figures. But Flat figures not only about my budget, they are easy to paint and get into action. If you have some experience in figure painting I’m sure this will be much easy object to paint.
I’m also try to sell my products here. I will try to convince you my way is good 🙂
I’ve created laser cut MDF flat figures, laser cut MDF buildings and purchased a hot wire foam cutter then I’ve started to make foam bricks.
I will begin with foam bricks project.
this is Proxxon 230E thermocut. It’s still not fully constructed in this picture. But next picture show how it’s looks when assembled.
I’ve used XPS foam and made bricks. There are two types of foam as far as I know. Pink and blue. Generally pink is much stronger than the blue one. After you made the bricks you can squeeze them or put in a jar with some small stones and give them effects. I have not done the second option yet.
I’ve started to place them on a cardboard by using a PVA glue. Wait one night for drying.
In this picture you can see a squeezed aliminium foil. I used it to give effects. But be sure you’ve waited one night after building the walls or give effects before started making walls. You can also see my flat figures here I will show them later.
One night wall making, one night black coat and tonight I finally made the dry brushing.
I hope you enjoy.21/01/2019 at 20:54 #107957Angel BarracksModerator

I’ve been following these developments on Facebook. Bloomin’ Fantastic. I really like the flats and the buildings.
Just need them to be 1/72 scale 😉

I’m gonna take a small break to show you my foam terrain, instead of that I’m pleased to show you my two MDF laser cut buildings.
I’ve made design on AI(Adobe Illustrator) then exported the files for the laser cutter.

You know, those MDF buildings aren’t bad at all. I really like the depth achieved with 2 layers, way ahead of most MDF buildings.
