    …as an introductory game for children into gaming.  Some thoughts and a short review here.

    Given the expense of obtaining the follow-on modules (unless I get really lucky on ebay!), I’d be interested in anyone’s recommendations for similar games at an equivalent level of complexity i.e. in broad terms, comprehensible by a six year-old.



    Angel Barracks

    My 6 year old sometimes plays Talisman.

    Though she also plays the Firefly boardgame too…

    But talisman is much simpler to grasp.


    Mice and Mystics from Plaidhat games.

    Great game, rules are not to complex but have enough depth to be fun for grown ups to.

    There are a few expantions and it can serve as a gateway to Redwall or Mouse Guard RPG later on if you are into that kind of thing.
