Finding information can be tricky, especially for ultra-moderns where much of the hard data needed for gaming is still classified or in another language. However as I was reminded last night there are a lot of less conventional sources of information out there.
What I came across whilst trying to find something about modern russian squad organisation was a wiki based around some of the older ARMA games, but with information excerpts and translations into English from ‘Russian Army Field Manual: Platoon and Squad/Tank, Part III (2005), download links were also helpfully provided.

This site here has built in translation up the top of the page, can take a little while to process but made this very useful for getting information about Czechoslovakian and other non-soviet warsaw pact equipment when I was getting into FFoT.

I’m sure there’s lots of bits like this around the interwebs with photos, videos, translated documents and the like, so what useful information in perhaps unconventional or just little-known sources have you uncovered?
Interesting links, thank you!
