The beautiful Innsmouth setting from OldBen 1 spurred me on to build my own version, but for 28mm figures. Except for the church, everything is scratch built from XPS foam, plastic and cardboard. The Gilman House hotel is directly inspired by OldBen 1’s build. Have yet to decide on a scenario or ruleset, but I’m favouring Fear and Faith from Ganesha Games. The police, soldiers and Government troops are visible but the townspeople, both good and bad, have not been placed yet.

Edit: just noticed the bridge is a resin model and the right most boat is an MDF kit. (Helps to look at your own photo)

    That  looks amazing!

I have Fear and Faith but not played it.  It reads like it would be a good ruleset  to play this  sort of thing.

Wow, this must be a huge board.  I am very impressed!  I especially like the harbor and all the boats!  We need to see more pictures.  Great stuff!

I miss my 28mm Innsmouth board terribly.

This will ultimately be a convention game. Fear and Faith is a simple ruleset and will work perfectly in this context. Especially for players with no previous experience in this game.

Not really, at least by 28mm standards. The gaming area is 3′ X 4′ including the vinyl sheet that is supposed to be the water.

Still working on a usable scenario. The Government Agents, Soldiers and Police are arriving by boat during a foggy day. The clear figures are male and female “ghost” markers. They are 3D printed with clear resin. They represent the townsfolk that are as of yet unidentifiable to the government forces. Once you get to a certain distance you recognize the identity of the figure. The “ghost” marker is removed and a proper towns person is put in it’s place. This could be a hostile fish man or woman, or a hostile human member of the Church of Dagon, or a civilian that needs rescuing. Even the belligerent figures are supposed to be captured for further study, but that may not happen that often.

And that’s as far as I’ve thought for now. Thanks for all the kind words.

This is going to be so great!  I like the ghost marker ideas too.  You could even have hot zones where fish man spawn like in Zona Alfa.  Please continue to post!

You too!  And so good to see you staying busy in the hobby.

I know that this pandemic can drive anyone crazy, specially without some therapeutic hobby to keep us refreshed and centered.  So I see our hobby as vital.  Keep on keeping on, my friend.
