    Splendid!

    Did you wear a skirt?

Or at least a pith helmet?

Excellent report. What scale, if any, were the miniatures made to? Judging by their appearance I assume about 1/1200 as opposed to the usual for naval games (except for age of sail) 1/2400 to 1/3000+. Thank you. I have to finish painting quite a few 1/300 micro armour and some infantry then off to research a new theatre and period!

They are 1/600 models from Shapeways (North Head Models), Tumbling Dice and PT Dockyard, plus a few scratch built models

Thank you. I thought they were bigger than 1/1200 but didn’t want to speculate. Thank you.

I really want to do this at 1/300, the gunboats are pretty small in 1/600

H&R makes some 1/300 ships. I think they are mostly landing craft, etc. but there are some other larger items which may be able to be converted. Alternatively if you do scratch building that is a possibility. There is the guy who does the 6mm scenery who posts here (not recently) on the terrain forum. I am sure he may make doors and ladders which could pass as hatches, etc. . If you want or need to copy specific ships do you know of a source of basic plans you could work from? I assume detailed ones would be unavailable or costly if available.
