I have expanded my British forces for Iron Maiden, a Mech Company of FV 432’s and extra Milan’s. Rapiers AA the M-109 Arty.  I still need some Scorpion/Scimitars for Reccon. But over all its a very good force for Team Yankee.

I’m so glad that you decided to keep the Brits and to continue to work towards getting them game-ready for some battles. Well done and may the new year bring you good fortune, both on and off the gaming table.

Cheers, Season’s Greetings and good gaming.

Of the 4 current Team Yankee armies the Brits are the most balanced.  Thou I have committed to West Germans for the up coming campaign, as a friend has a bigger Brit army so he can play the Brits.

To my mind this is wise planning. First the Soviets will take Berlin and Bohn, then they will take Paris and London. By building the Armies which you have you will always have skin in the games no matter what! You are a clever Kyote!

Cheers, Season’s Greetings and good gaming man.

Picked up 2 boxes of the Brit Scimitar/Scorpion light tanks today, each box has 4 models that can be built ether way.  They can be fielded as 2 3 or 4 platoons so that it gives me more flexibility building lists.   Sure they will die fast and fiery but Brit Light Tanks !!!

The Scorpion/Scimitar’s are nice little kits and go together quick and easy.

Now you need to buy, assemble and paint Spartans, Strikers, Sultans and Samaritans to complete your recce squadron! So get to work on that right away. And think about some Fox armoured cars to change things up.

    Cheers and good gaming.

Maybe…but maybe not as I plan to mostly run the FV 432 Mech Infantry Company. The Scorpion/Scimitars are just for reccon and to max out my platoon count.

6 built with 7 and 8 waiting for glue to set.   I should have them all done and get them painted tomorrow.

Sorry Rod, I was distracted !!! I’ve been building the British Abbots I got as a Birthday present .

The Russians had 3 T-72 platoons of 7 tanks each with some BMP-2 scouts, Rocket arty and AA units .

I had 2 Mech Inf platoons with Milan’s more Milan’s a full Abbot arty unit AA  2 Chieftain platoons and 4 platoons of Scorpion/Scimitars(, Scouts) and Harriers. which gave me 12 platoons.  I could only use 6 as the scenario was No Retreat , so I used the Inf , Milan’s  AA, Arty and tanks on table. The Scouts, Harriers   and one tank  platoon off table.

I was able to mass the Milan’s and tank fire on each of the T-72 platoons in order to kill enough of them to cause moral checks which they failed..eventually.   The Russians came close to taking one of my objectives but  died as they tried to assault.

I really like playing my Brits !!!

    Kyoteblue:

Thanks for filling in the information on your game. It sounds like it was a blast to play. Well done on your victory, even if it was at the expense of your brothers and sisters in the vanguard of world socialism.

Glad to hear the Abbots are done. What’s next?

    Cheers and good gaming.

    Rod Robertson.
