Recently a gaming company shipped me a Neoprene Gaming Mat for review. It came in a cardboard box and had creases / folds when I took it out of the package. So, I decided to iron the gaming mat. Come check out my review and see how I go about ironing a neoprene gaming mat.

Great review, along with a handy technique – I’ll have to tuck that away in case of future need. Thank you!

Thank you for the review. As you surmised at the end, the residual evidence of folds should become even less noticeable over time.

Thanks for the review.  When looking for gaming mats I steered clear of neoprene, imagining it to have the weight and flexibility of a wet suit.  I didn’t want to have store or carry around several 6’x4′ rolls of that.  Your writing caused me to do a little research and it turns out that you can get neoprene as thin as 0.5mm, though how strong that would be without backing material I do not know.  The printing on your example is very nice, I have to say.

    Trust science, not the scientists.
