Regular unit A with initiative crosses the LoS of two enemy irregular units, which react by firing.

If they lose their reaction tests, A ends its movement without any firefight, or shoots, during or at the end of its movement, one or both of the enemy units. If he fires, after the first fire he reduces his next movement by 1 ”and decreases his FP by 1 die.

Can it receive return fire from any surviving irregular enemy?

Why doesn’t apply the rule of the pag 33: ” irregular only partecipate in a round of fire that they have initiated by action or reaction”?

I though that irregulars fired only if they won the reaction …

If they win, regulars can respond to the enemy fire?

Yes

“Irregular units may only React once per turn.” This is the great difference with a regular unit.
