Richard Ansell
MemberHi there!
The registration page seems to be working OK!
27/07/2014 at 21:07 #2372dhauser
ParticipantI had no issue registering; although I am not allowed to upload or select an avatar.
Glad to see this page.

ParticipantVPN to work, launched Opera v12 on my work desktop and posted this per Richards request on FB. Checked a few other items with Opera while here and everything seem good. Congrats.

ParticipantWell seems to work in firefox too

ParticipantYup- same for me. The registration process worked fine, and I wasn’t allowed an avatar upload either. I’ve also requested notifications from the other thread, and will keep you up to date on that.

Thanks peeps.
Yes, the avatar thing requires some plug ins which will be done soon
However if you want an avatar, I can add one to your profile for you for now.Send one via an e-mail (with your username) and I will upload it asap.

Participantyou might want to change this
<p style=”color: #585858;”>Plans for the future.

<p style=”color: #585858;”>When the site grows we want to hire an editor outside of the UK (perhaps in the USA or Australia) to enable us to offer more round the clock support.

<p style=”color: #585858;”>We will develop a private massaging function for Sponsoring and Trader Members to make the experience even better.
27/07/2014 at 21:30 #2383dhauser
ParticipantApparently hovering on a users name brings up a dialog bow “View {Users} Profile”; clicking the name re-directs you to the Home page. LOL!
27/07/2014 at 21:32 #2384dhauser
Participantselecting “edit” to change the word “bow” to “box” re-directs you to the home page also. LOL!
27/07/2014 at 21:32 #2385Roger
ParticipantEdit text took me back to main page too.

It actually takes you to the posts that the user in question has made, still working on an actual profile…

KeymasterI can see my ‘To do’ list is growing….. a lot.
On the avatar front we have an issue because of the software we are using to create and manage this site so tomorrow I will be adding a form for you to send us your avatars so we can get them added. No plugin will work at this point – I just did research.
I will be interested to see what else you find out. You would never know that for the last 5 years my day job has been as a test manager for a company that has done some massive IT changes which have worked well. Apparently I do rely on my test analysts a lot as when left to me I miss many many things! Don’t tell them though.
On the massaging front – hahahhahahahahahha. Nope! Any typos you find please do let us know. A dyslexic developer (me) always leads to many errors!

InactivePossibly could do with some rescaling of the icons/avatars on the forum front page (fine when you get into a thread).

ParticipantNone of the forum views from the top menu bar appear to work, latest topics brings you back to the main screen.
I would also like a “new postings since you last looked” view such as you get on SMF and PHBB.
I think you are using BBPress? There was an addon for that which did something similar.
I find it really useful on Lead Adventure Forum.

ParticipantIt could do with a ” see new posts” type thing somewhere (if there is one, I missed it), but it looks ok so far. 🙂

InactiveThanks for getting this site up and running. As others have mentioned, bits of the site seems a bity clunky, but I’m sure things will get smoother as time goes on. Might be nice to have some emoticons, if possible.
I wish you the very best of luck in this new venture.
And it’s good to see you again, Nick!
Cheers,
Scott

KeymasterHiya, thanks all for joining!
We have not even promoted the site yet so word about us is out there somewhere?
We had some unexpected bugs, a few of the more ‘advanced’ features have been removed until we get it sorted.
Once these bugs are fixed the website will eventually have so many bells and whistles it will make your breakfast for you!31/07/2014 at 14:48 #2604Anonymous
InactiveIs there a way to change line spacing for the posting text?
Also, attempting to edit my own post using the edit button on the post toolbar sends me back to the front page.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi.
The edit is one of the Known Bugs mentioned here:
We are working on that and a few other things, we have not officially lunched yet so please bear with us a short while.

I’ve promoted it on my Facebook page. The site needs feeding so it looks big and strong come the full launch. 🙂
