Not wishing to derail your perfectly good thread – I have always wondered – why do people use daylight bulbs to paint?
do you do a lot of gaming outdoors? Me, I want my figures to look good under the flickering lights of a Community Centre, their natural environment!

No recommendations, bit either get a cheap one with built in LEDs that you can sling when it fails (and it will), or something that takes E27 and bung one of these in it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hzsane-Incandescent-Equivalent-Daylight-Non-Dimmable/dp/B0793N68LV/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=e27+daylight+bulb&qid=1610110817&sr=8-8

I’m pleased that your eyes are still young enough that you don’t need a built in magnifier!

Nope, but I do a lot of gaming in daylight. And consequently I use a daylight bulb so that I know the colours will be correct. I’m guessing that all your miniatures have that ghastly sodium yellow look about them 😉

I miss my old lamp. But looking at these, are LEDs really the way forward?
