This month, one of four games played at the DWG gave a chance of revisiting an old friend by getting out KMH and putting them through their paces with this scenario based loosely on the Battle of Sadras.

Thank you a very readable AAR.
Thank you so much for sharing this AAR. Kiss Me Hardy are my go to rules. I downloaded the PDF, thanks again for that. I think I will need to make some more cards. I do like yours better than mine!😉

I enjoyed your post. Found the PDF and downloaded it. Thank you. I keep wanting to play the rules. Are they O.K. for the bigger fleet actions? How many ships do you think can one player handle?

Thanks for your comments chaps, glad you enjoyed the post.
Rory – as I mentioned in the post, KMH are like most of the rule sets out there, trying to cover battles involving a few ships to those that could have up to thirty ships aside in a major fleet action.
In my opinion I think because of the detailed recording for each and every ship you would not want to go much bigger than the game we played. if you then take into account the card driven design, which I love by the way, then with multiple squadrons, the time to play the game multiplies as well.
Hope that helps

Sorry Carojon,
I missed that bit. For big fleet games I use “Fighting Sail” before you start shouting at me. Pete and I have work hard on making houses rules. Our work has been seen and Ryan has added them to the FS Facebook page as add-on’s for the rules. It was the paper-free bit which we like the best. Once you have worked out the fleets (The only paper bit). One uses tokens for damage and tick off points from the fleet morale. Once this is down to zero. The fleet has lost. No ships logs!
