Please see here for a refight of the Battle of Knocknanuss 1647, as an Irish Confederate army fights a Parliamentary army, in a scenario from Wargames Illustrated 257 using the Polemos:ECW rules and Baccus 6mm figures.
An excellent read, thank you.

Another fascinating report, thanks.
I don’t know if you’ve come across this description of the battle (not clear what sources have been used and there are some ‘interesting’ interpolations and commentary) and map – tucked away on the ScotWars site – Knockanoss Map
Odd about the discrepancy in cavalry numbers.
Interesting find there Guy.
Mac Colla’s lads were apparently equipped in the Highland fashion. The Irish Lancers were not traditional Irish Horse rather the lance had been introduced by Owen Roe to combat Scots pistol armed Horse-it worked. I’m not sure about the other notes.
A handy map.

Thanks very much both. That is quite a flavourful order of battle and a rather different size of overall forces than the other sources Guy, so very interesting indeed. One of the Polemos:ECW authors has kindly commented, so that may be worth a look on the post if anyone is interested.
